In the latest episode of her YouTube show Narae-sik, Park Na-rae welcomed actress Jo Bo-ah and addressed recent events with candid humor and grace.
Debunking Wild Theft Rumors
Park Na-rae revealed that all her stolen belongings have been fully recovered without a scratch. “It all ended well. Last Friday, I got everything back—literally everything. Not even a scratch,” she said, visibly relieved.
She went on to debunk several wild rumors circulating online, “The first story was that my besties, Jang Do-yeon and Han Hye-jin, robbed me together. But as far as I know, they don’t even have each other’s contact numbers. I actually felt really bad for Do-yeon. But Do-yeon just laughed it off. I don’t think Hye-jin even saw it. She only watches her own YouTube.”
She also mentioned another rumor that her mother had stolen her belongings due to financial issues. “My mom called me and said, ‘It wasn’t me!’ I told her I knew,” she added with a chuckle.
Addressing BoA’s drunken livestream
Turning to BoA’s drunken livestream with Jun Hyun-moo, Park Na-rae clarified that although she’s never met BoA personally, she received multiple apology calls from the singer.
“BoA called a few times before flying out of the country. I told her it’s fine—I’ve been drunk before too. Only people who’ve been there understand. I actually found it funny,” Park Na-rae said with a laugh.
Heartfelt Reunion with Jo Bo-ah
Jo Bo-ah then appeared on the show, and they greeted each other warmly. The two actresses had first worked together on the variety show From the New World, and this marked their reunion after four years.
Park Na-rae mentioned, “There were many ups and downs before we could meet. During the break, Bo-ah asked me if I was avoiding her.” Jo Bo-ah revealed that she hadn’t been able to meet Park Na-rae when she appeared on the tvN variety show Amazing Saturday, because Park Na-rae had contracted COVID-19. She also mentioned that the shooting of Narae-sik had been delayed due to the recent theft incident.
Reflecting on the Theft Incident
Jo Bo-ah asked, “Did everything get resolved well? I heard a lot of articles about it,” and Park Na-rae replied, “I got back all my stolen items,” and explained the situation at the time. When Jo Bo-ah said, _”It’s lucky they didn’t sell it,” _Park Na-rae responded, “They did sell it. I found out surprisingly quickly that my things had been stolen.”
She continued, “Kim Ji-min is getting married in July, and she invited our friends for a wedding photoshoot. I was about to grab my most expensive bag for the shoot, but it was gone. Then I noticed other things were missing too,” she recalled.
A persistent friend suggested checking second-hand luxury markets. “He searched online all night and actually found it listed. The color, the model, everything matched. That’s when we went to the police.”
Thankfully, Park Na-rae recovered all her stolen items and now reflects on the ordeal with a smile. “Now that it’s over, I can finally laugh about it. That’s the good part,” she said.
